Coming soon to your favorite Burris dealer is the new RT-8x24mm riflescope, which the company describes as "Designed for speed and accuracy at short- to mid-ranges."

As such, there are three illuminated reticles in front, rear and dual focal plane models that will allow shooters to pick the exact setup they need. The Ballistic AR, Ballistic Circle Dot and Ballistic CQ Mil are ideal for 5.56mm and .223 Rem. ammunition out to 600 yards.

High performance glass and multi-coated lenses are bright and provide anti-glare properties. The RT-8 is built with internal spring tensioned assemblies and includes waterproofing for protection in harsh environments.

Overall length is 10.3 inches (9.8 inches for the rear focal plane model). Short, but powerful are the keywords here. The eye relief is 3.3 inches, and the main tube is 30mm size.

The adjustable throw lever provides accurate magnification changes under duress. Shooters can affix the lever anywhere on the magnification ring. Additionally, the low profile windage and elevation knobs can be finger adjusted at ½ MOA per click.

Pricing is $399 for the rear focal plane model, $499 for the front focal plane one and $799 for the dual.
