Cabot Guns has announced the Insurrection, a new double-stack 1911 9 mm pistol constructed from billet stainless steel.

Feature-rich and with plenty of customization options available, the new Cabot Insurrection 1911 includes a five-inch match-grade, hand-fitted stainless steel barrel with fluted hood cuts, Cabot's proprietary Advantage extractor, a stainless steel slide with window cuts, 3½-pound trigger, Ledge rear sight and fiber-optic front sight, and optional barrel porting.

Additionally, for a $1,095 upcharge, the slide will be cut for optics and equipped with a Trijicon SRO red-dot sight.

Two 17-round magazines are included and 20-round magazines are also available.

More info from the company: “Cabot Guns, renowned as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of firearms, proudly introduces the Cabot Guns Insurrection, a double-stack 1911 pistol poised to revolutionize the landscape of American firearms innovation. Crafted over two years with meticulous attention to detail, the Insurrection is a testament to Cabot Guns' commitment to precision, quality and excellence.”

To commemorate the launch, Cabot Guns released a limited run of 50 inaugural editions (serial numbers 0001 through 0050). These exclusive editions feature ported barrels, red-dot mounts with 2½-MOA Trijicon SROs installed and limited-edition markings. However, all 50 inaugural editions sold out immediately.

Cabot Guns is now accepting orders for the 2024 delivery. Current lead times for new orders are four to six months. Due to limited number of pistols that Cabot produces every year, the lead time is expected to increase as additional orders come in.

The company has opened a new double-stack manufacturing facility in Cabot, Pa., specifically so that the Insurrection would not interrupt production of existing single-stack pistols occurring at the Cabot Guns Fort Wayne, Ind., shop.

MSRP for the Cabot Guns Insurrection double-stack 1911 starts at $5,995. Go to cabotguns.com.
