SIG Sauer recently announced its new 1911-XSERIES, which the company describes as “the long-awaited pistols that blend the beloved features of the 1911 that made the platform iconic, with the modern necessities the enthusiast desires.”

1911-XFULL pistol
The SIG Sauer 1911-XFULL pistol is chambered in .45 ACP with an eight-round capacity. Barrel length is five inches and the sight radius is 6½ inches. In addition, the 1911-XFULL can be purchased with a factory-installed ROMEO-X red-dot sight.

The new 1911-XSERIES handguns from SIG Sauer are stainless steel, hammer-fired pistols chambered in .45 ACP, and sport an optics-ready XSERIES slide, X-RAY3 day-and-night sights, a serrated flat trigger, custom engraved and checkered G10 grips, removable metal magazine well, plus an extended slide release and ambidextrous safety levers.

In addition, each 1911-XSERIES pistol ships with two eight-round steel magazines.

SIG Sauer 1911-XSERIES pistols are available in the 1911-XCARRY and 1911-XFULL sizes in either black or coyote tan colors. Both sizes offer the option of a factory-installed ROMEO-X red-dot optic.

The black (or coyote tan) finished stainless steel frame is undercut, and the slide (also made from stainless steel) is cut for optics with the compact Shield RMS-c footprint. The 1911-XFULL comes with a five-inch barrel, while the 1911-XCARRY has a 4¼-inch barrel.

“America has a love affair with the 1911; the platform has a rich history that has withstood the test of time,” SIG Sauer Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales, Tom Taylor said. “The 1911-XSERIES honors the standard and delivers XSERIES innovation and ingenuity to the platform.”

The 1911-XFULL is now shipping to dealers, with carry models expected to begin shipping this summer. Go to sigsauer.com to learn more.
