All About The 2021 Empire Satellite Grand American

The 2021 Empire Satellite Grand American will be held May 19-23 at the New York State Amateur Trapshooting Association Homegrounds in Cicero, N.Y. The tournament will be governed by Amateur Trapshooting Association rules and the scores will included in the official records.

Over five days of shooting, the following 12 events will be fired:

  1. Warm-up Singles
  2. Warm-up Handicap
  3. Warm-up Doubles
  4. Empire Singles
  5. Empire Handicap
  6. Empire Doubles
  7. Class Singles
  8. Caesar Guerini Preliminary Handicap
  9. Class Doubles
  10. Singles Championship
  11. Doubles Championship
  12. Handicap Championship


In addition to the events listed above, there will be Event No. 13 All-Around (Events 10-12) and Event No. 14 High Overall (Events 4-12) awards.

Here is what Paul Shaw, the president of the Amateur Trapshooting Association has to say about the match:

"Over the years I have attended a great many competitions at Cicero. New York has a very organized and active Board and volunteer base. It is home to the now famous 'New York' dome targets."
